Escapades of a broken string pt.2

As promised, here are some of the historical artistic designs inside the church.
Yup all those metal pieces of art in that picture are all pure gold. :)
The locals themselves testify that these items are all made of pure gold, and yes for all those who have bad and greedy intentions, think twice. All the locals of the island are ready to rumble at all times in protecting the church. They're ready to bash and mash, pound for pound to  kick the life out of you till your ass bone cracks. Not just because of the precious metals inside but because of the great respect they have for the holy place it self. Lets not forget that after all this is a place of worship, a place to commune with the one and all mighty god.
This church has been preserved for how many ages, it has been witnessed, experienced and grown up with by the locals themselves and has passed multiples of generations from the past and this generation and maybe the next coming generations.
Its preservation is beyond expectations from the outside view. There are even more intricate designs on each of the church's arc, carved and inlaid with gold i think.  (wink*) ;)

Down below are some close ups of the church's outside appearance.

At the entrance, its old wooden doors are still intact. The huge stone pillars and stone blocks outside has already showed signs of weathering through all the years, but still is intact and sturdy. One cant help but wonder how the church lasted this long with no renovations and with its foundation built only out of gluing stone blocks with CHICKEN EGGS!!!.
if this guy was here he might say....

On the right is a shot of an unknown statue of a saint maybe, haha I'm not sure but just took a picture of it cause it looks great and historic, though i forgot if which side this is but in front of the church are 2 statues at the sides of the main entrance.

Now this is a good view of the old wooden door at the entrance, the nice blue sky and the church's bronze plaque that has already corroded through the years. The vacation was just short, but my overnight stay with the island (which by the way is my 2nd or 3rd time there lol) i think is priceless. Clear blue skies, nice and cheesy laid back sunsets, white sands and clear blue water beaches, most of all the lovely summer girls in bikinis haha, all is worth the travel if your looking for some tropical get away. Even just for a 2 day vacation. and who knows you'll stumble upon some cool and amazing historical sites like this hehe, the memories are good enough to be kept as souvenirs. Well i guess that's a wrap up folks haha i sure do miss the summer. haha ciaò!
